Teacher Script:
Introduction:
Hello, children! Today, I’m so excited to talk to you about something special. Today, we’re going to learn about something that is much more important than any trophy or medal!
Lesson:
(Show the medals)
I bet many of you have participated in races or competitions and received trophies or medals. I used to be a runner, and I also have some medals from races that I participated in. These medals remind me of all the hard work and dedication I put into training. But even though I am proud of my accomplishments, I want to share an important message with you today: These medals are not important to God.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 147:11 that God’s delight is not in the strength of a horse or the legs of a man. It doesn’t matter how fast we can run or how strong we are. What matters to God is that we love and fear Him.
Now, fearing God doesn’t mean being scared of Him. It means respecting and honoring Him, knowing how powerful and amazing He is.
The Bible also tells us in Psalm 147 about all the wonderful things God does for us. He heals our hearts, He takes care of us, and He knows each of us by name!
Application:
Even though our physical abilities are not important to God, He still loves us and wants us to use our talents to glorify Him. So, whether you are good at running, singing, painting, or anything else, use your talents to show your love for God!
Conclusion:
Let’s pray together and thank God for His love and for reminding us that He cares about our hearts more than anything else.
(Prayer)
Dear God, thank you for loving us no matter how strong, fast, or talented we are. Help us to use our talents to glorify you and to show our love for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I hope you all learned something special today! Remember, God loves each and every one of you!
