The fall Sunday School craft projects possibilities are really endless, but as we enter into the month of November, it is fun to challenge children with special activities geared toward being consistently grateful for what God has blessed them with. Itโs important to encourage them to be thankful, not just on Thanksgiving, and not just in November, but all the time. Craft one: โThankful Pumpkinโ
Easy Fall Craft on Thankfulness
Craft Supplies:
- Scissors
- Construction paper or note cards
- Markers/decorative materials
- Stapler or tape
Craft Procedure:
- Cut construction paper (likely orange, but any color will do) into strips, or have students cut it. Strips should be about 1-1 ยฝ inches wide.
- Have students write something they are thankful for on each strip; assist with writing if necessary.
- Fold the strips up one by one and staple or tape them together, one atop another.
- Arrange the strips into a sphere shape, much like a pumpkin (you may need a staple at the bottom, as well).
- Attach a green paper โleafโ to decorate. Feature as a center piece or decoration!

Craft Two: โChain of Thanksโ

Supplies Needed:
- Scissors
- Stapler
- Crayons or markers
- Construction paper
Craft Directions:
- Cut colorful construction paper into strips, or help children cut the paper.
- One day at a time, identify an item that families feel thankful to have, and write on the paper.
- Staple the paper strips together, forming a chain that lengthens each day.
- Hang your chain of thanks and appreciate the blessings of November!

Craft Three: Kids โGratitude Gardenโ

Project Supplies:
- Construction paper (various colors)
- Crayons or markers
- Pipe cleaners
- Popsicle sticks or clothespins
- Cup or mini pot container
- Markers or crayons
- Glue or tape
- Scissors
How-To Make this Craft:
- Cut the construction paper (or help students cut) into flower shapes.
- Have students write things they are thankful for on the flowers.
- Place each โflowerโ on a pipe cleaner or popsicle stick stem.
- Add extra decorative embellishments as desired.
- Place โflowersโ in a special cup or miniature garden pot.
- โPlantโ in a visible spot and recall gratitude!
