Teacher Script:

Hi children! Today we’re going to talk about waiting. Have you ever waited for something for a long time? Maybe it was a birthday party or a special trip? Waiting can be hard, but sometimes the things we wait for are the best things ever!

Today we learned about Simeon and Anna from the Bible. They waited a very long time for something very special. They waited to see the Messiah, the promised savior. And guess what? They got to see him as a baby in the temple! Even though they didn’t expect a baby, they knew it was worth the wait because they knew God had kept his promise.

Just like Simeon and Anna, we can wait for good things too. We wait for God, and we know that he has wonderful things planned for our lives. Even though we might not know exactly what those things are, we can trust that God’s plans are good and that they are worth waiting for.

Let’s pray and thank God for his promises. Dear God, thank you for keeping your promises to us. Help us to be patient as we wait for you and know that you have good things in store for us. Thank you for your love, we love you God in Jesus’ name, amen.

Remember, good things are worth the wait! So be patient and keep trusting in God.
